Alameda Health Services Acute Care Tower Replacement
This design-build project is the largest construction program ever undertaken by the County of Alameda. The urban site is extremely sloped requiring retaining walls and ramps for pedestrian access. Being an historically sensitive site along a major corridor, the site design responds to the historical features while also dealing with the impact of new construction and major site reorganization of the hospital facilities and utilities. The landscape is low-maintenance and drought tolerant while also using bio-retention methods for storm drainage control.
